Increase max Bones: How to...

I need increase max Bones from 72 to 200.


How i can change it, beacause just changing that not working.

72 is a hard limit because of restrictions in how many constants you can use in a vertex shader. I optimised this as best I could (typically, you are looking at a limit of ~50).

The only way around this sort of problem is to (either manually or with an automated tool) split the model up into sub-models that fit within the bone count restriction.
I didn't do this in xen because it's a very difficult problem to solve.

Can I ask what sort of model you have? 200 is a *lot* of bones.

Actually, there may be a way I can partially work around this problem if the model has multiple geometry sections.

If this is the case, and you are happy to do so, I would appreciate if you could send me the model. I wouldn't be able to integrate it into 1.8 though, it'd have to go into 2.0 (due to how things have changed internally).

In realy I need 121 Bones, but all my models have around that...

If i need more complex animations, more bones will be needed, and because this 200 bones is a good number.


I Will put the Model in .Max type in media fire. Feel free to use.
