warning asset was built 2 times ...

I need your help:
When I compile my project it has no errors but it has some warnings.

"Asset was built 2 times with different settings using TextureImporter
and TextureProcessor using TextureImporter and TextureProcessor
referenced by ....x"

Anyone knows how to fix it and exactly what does it means?

Hi.

Sorry about my slow reply, I've been on holiday for a while :-)

This is a pretty common XNA issue. Basically, the guts of it is that two peices of content (eg, models) are importing the same texture - however they are importing it with different settings (eg, compression mode, etc). This is forcing the content pipeline to create a duplicate of the asset.

One possible work around: With the xen model importer and particle system importer, there is a special option called 'Manual Texture Import'. When set to true on the model/PS, then the textures must be manually included in the project - the model/PS won't automatically include them. This allows you to change properties per-texture.
