Release Notes

CHM Documentation Note:

CHM file downloaded through Internet Explorer may fail to open:
When downloading the CHM through Internet Explorer on Windows Vista / Windows 7, the file will be saved with restricted security permissions. This prevents the windows CHM documentation viewer working correctly (this happens with any downloaded CHM file).
To fix this, right click the file, choose properties, and press the 'Unblock' security option.

System requirements:

.NET Framework 3.5
XNA GameStudio 3.1 SDK
A version of Visual Studio 2008 (such as Visual C# Express)
Xen requires a Prebuild step to be run before the project can be opened. This performs several steps, such as building the shader system.
Xen may require the DirectX SDK to be installed on some systems. Xen does not support DirectX 8 level graphics cards.

Version 1.8.2 (XNA 3.1)

[Fixed] Several issues with model animation playback and blending have been fixed

Version 1.8.1 (XNA 3.1)

[Fixed] The HDR tutorial now uses Power-of-Two cubemaps that are separated into RGB and M textures

Version 1.8 (XNA 3.1)

This update fixes a number of bugs in several areas of the API and introduces a large new Tutorial.

[Added] L2 Spherical Harmonic class added to Xen.Ex
[Added] Tutorial 28: HDR Lighting added: This is a massive tutorial, covering many areas of lighting
[Updated] Simplified the Shadow Mapping tutorial
[Updated] (Breaking change) The blur filter now requires specifying a blur exponent. A value of 1.0f maintains old behavior
[Updated] The shader system now supports arrays marked 'GLOBAL'
[Fixed] Several issues with animation caching behavior
[Fixed] Several issues with the shader system error reporting
[Fixed] Rare preshader initializations issues in the shader system
[Fixed] A subtle bug where the XNA shader compiler for the 360 would sometimes ignore swizzles (and not tell you!)

Extremely good graphics-engine. For fun-programmer like me, who can´t everything, is this a good solution to make beautiful grafik-art.

This is excellent engine. However I recommend it to developers familiar with XNA, C# and game design in general. This is NOT an engine for beginners. Lots of Tutorials/Examples to help you get started. :)
